D. Sathyaprakash
D. Sathyaprakash (born Sathyaprakash Dharman) is an Indian playback singer who was a contestant on the music talent show Airtel Super Singer. He is a noted Carnatic singer and a disciple of Sri Chandrasekar Bhagavathar.
Early life and singing career
Sathyaprakash was born in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. At the age of 8, with the support of his grandfather, he began Carnatic vocal classes with the late Kannaiah Naidu. He later studied with Smt. Selvakumari for AbOUT two years.
In 1999, Sathyaprakash performed at a school contest and was noticed by Chitra, a development officer with Life Insurance Corporation of India, who was one of the judges. Chitra arranged for Sathyaprakash to study with Chandrasekhar Bhagavathar.
Sathyaprakash studied mechanical engineering at Maharaja Engineering College, which is affiliated with Anna University.

Sathyaprakash has released four albums under the banner of Rajalakshmi Audio: Padatha Pattillai, Jananam, Pazham nee, and Soundaryam.
