CybelAngel is a French cybersecurity company founded in 2013. The company develops software for detecting exposed corporate data, compromised credentials, and other cybersecurity risks outside an organisation's network.

History

The company was founded in Paris in 2013 by Erwan Keraudy, Stevan Keraudy, and Matthieu Finiasz. In 2015, its analysis tool was used to identify leaked user data from the Ashley Madison website.

To fund its development, the company raised several rounds of financing: €3 million in 2017, followed by €10 million in 2018 with participation from Bpifrance.

In 2020, it raised an additional $36 million to support its international expansion. That same year, CybelAngel was selected to join the government-backed French Tech 120 programme.

Operations

CybelAngel is a cybersecurity company that provides services for detecting leaked or exposed data on the Internet and the dark web. Its software identifies internal documents, databases, and corporate credentials that have become publicly accessible following security incidents, cyberattacks, or configuration errors. The platform combines automated analysis with human verification to identify such information outside its customers' networks.
