Cultural taboos of Lahore
Being a huge populated city, Lahore has many cultural taboos from different aspects of life. Some of these prominent taboos are written as following:
Unethical treatment of in-laws
Women are forced to bring more dowries from their parents. If some girl fails to fulfill this challenge then usually she should face the brutality and of her husband along with her in laws. Mostly this kind of marriage ends up at torture or minimum at the divorce.
Vulgarity in the theatres
There was a time when theater was considered as a source of pleasure and mental entertainment but unfortunately, it has became the root of vulgarity due to the inappropriate stage dramas and dance shows now a days.
Exchange of flirtatiousness
Most of the people specially the young generation are used to flirting with the opposite gender group. Now, students also look more passionate and interested in doing so. They forget AbOUT the wastage of their precious time and energy. For example: eye winking, throwing cell numbers written on papers towards the girls, exchanging love letters, wearing stylish and fancy clothes and using expensive cell phones usually indicates the flirtatious attitude of a person.
Red light area
The traditional and classical dances are offered here and originally, it was the centre of the city's tawaif (طوائف) culture in the Mughal era. As majority of the people seem to be hesitant while talking about it, because today it is a centre of prostitution in Lahore under the veil of dances.

Lahore, as Pakistani cultural capital, has faced its share of militant attacks because for the last few years, it has hosted cultural festivals, concerts and cricket matches with aplomb. The main purposes for these attacks are death of innocent people, damaging the public property and creating the conflict and disorder among the public. That is why these cruel deeds are hatred.
