County Road 14 (film)

County Road 14 Movie is a fictional thriller, inspired by an actual events. The main character, Regina Colfax and her husband Tom move back to Regina's hometown, Perry, Florida after her Great-Aunt passes away in a car accident. Then Regina befriends Jess Williams to help her solve the unexplained death of her aunt. But as their investigation grows longer, they find that not only have they awoken Rita Mae Cobb, they've unleashed a spirit that will doom them all. The film really brings forth the issues of race in the south in the early 1900's. The highlights of this horror are within the flash back scenes.

The film features black voodoo woman as the [...] ghost played by "Suzanne Manns-Rochell" and the ghost real bring fear the the screen with a burned and decayed look. The other ghost in the film is a young girl played by "Emily Newman" and by being in the wrong place at the wrong time made her angry for the cause of her death.

The micro budget digital film was made for an est. $45,000.00 and it took 4 months to shoot the film. The project was produced by Surround Filmworks Entertainment in 2007, and the project was shot in Perry, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Mayo,FL and Atlanta,GA. The film was written by Eddie Brown,Jr. and Roderick Monroe and the duo has made a place in the horror genre with their twisted plots and stories. Eddie Brown, Jr. directed this project as will and brought forth a different style with his vision.

Theatrical Release

''' The film was released in Tallahassee, FL on August 25,2007 and the event sold out with 425 people to see this film. Then showing in Estes Park, CO in September 21, 22, 2007 and the review was good for the micro budget film. Then screening in Perry,FL the week of November 10-16,2007 and the film had a sold out sitting for the entire week. This film has yet went to national release and the total amount is 3,715 in theaters.

DVD Release

This film released to DVD on January 15, 2008 with the original version not doing well in sales. Then the company decided to release a second version of the film "The Directors Cut" which has done well in review. The dvd is awaiting international release.

Other Films

The writers of the film are in the development process of the sequel "CR14 Sarah Murphy's Revenge" and a production in 2012.
