ComVey

ComVey

ComVey is an app that was developed by students and graduates from The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in 2014. ComVey means Community and Survey. The app allows local businesses to connect to their local consumers using imaged based surveys and messaging.

ComVey works by connecting a business with the exact type of consumer they want to reach out too, through their demographic database. Local businesses can save money on market research by going directly to their consumers to learn how to become better. ComVey is a unique and inexpensive way to conduct market research.

In a world where there everyone is trying to give people a survey and indoxes are cluttered with spam emails, ComVey is a step above. ComVey users only get surveys for what they should already doing. They are quick too only AbOUT 5-15 questions with a $5 reward to the business from the survey. Messages are also done differently. They are short, only 200 characters, and are based upon what the user likes. The message could be about a sale, if they have stopped by lately, and if they enjoy their service. When a user accumulates 4 messages from a business they are treated with a gift from that business.

The creation of ComVey

The concept of ComVey was created by Daniel Miklosz (CEO/Founder), a finance student at UIC. He is a former cross country and track athlete and is also an Eagle Scout. Development is being led by Avinash Kunaparaju (CTO). Avinash initially impressed Dan Miklosz with his currency app that he developed by himself within a month. Avinash is a computer science graduate from UIC. The lead programmer is Jack Petraitis. Jack is a recent computer science graduate from UIC. His work on the website and the business-side of ComVey has been incredibly fruitful. Carson Burns (CFO) is the single individual not from UIC, he is currently studying finance at Indiana University at Bloomington. Carson had been a good high school friend of Dan's. During his senior year in high school Carson received a 1000% return on his portfolio while in the investment club. Then finally the lead designer is Amber Muller. Her work can be seen through ComVey, with the seamless and professional layout.
