Microsoft has been searching for a 3-D programmer for a "version 4" of the highly successful Combat Flight Simulator franchise. The Release date of the game was originally going to be sometime in the 2004 holidays, according to Microsoft's official website, but, since then, Combat Flight Simulator 4 has never been mentioned on the Microsoft website. Despite this, many people claim Combat Flight Simulator 4 has not been abandoned.
