Ciaran Maguire
Ciaran Maguire is an Irish entrepreneur. Maguire first started his business career with his family's construction firm Flexi Group in 1998, which was originally founded in 1988 by Ciaran's father, Christopher Maguire. Maguire created the Irish entrepreneurial investment company, Ciaran Maguire Group, which has invested in resorts in Boa Vista, Cape Verde, St. Lucia and Bequia.

In May 2010, a liquidator was appointed to the development company Flash Developments, through which Ciaran Maguire was promoting property in Cape Verde. No accounts had been filed since June 2008.. A court case followed on June 2010 where the High Court in Dublin heard that the liquidator of Flash Developments Ltd, Kieran Wallace, was pursuing an investigation that the company may have taken deposits for villas and apartments when it didn't have the authority to do so.
In June 2012, it was reported in The Sunday Business Post that two hundred people that bought property in Cape Verde via Ciaran Maguire had instigated legal action. The High Court in Dublin heard that investors believed Maguire had used their deposits to finance the running of his firm and that he had not title to the land in Cape Verde. In the same month Irish investigative magazine The Phoenix ran a feature probing into Ciaran Maguire's affairs and listed the various legal actions being taken against him including one by his firm's former landlord Airscape Limited for unpaid rent. As well 17 British and Irish investors taking legal in Ireland, the article also stated that 40 British investors had hired an Anglo-Portuguese law firm based in London to recover their deposits.
