Chocolicous Wonka Cakes

previous to the below, in the 1990s, Chocolicious had nothing to do with Wonka and had no purple anything, but was, however, the most delicious snack cake Hostess ever made ... it did not look like CupCakes, but was the shape of a twinkie, although the taste/texture had nothing to do with a twinkie ... it was chocolate cake, chocolate filling, chocolate icing, chocolate sprinkles ... yum!

Chocolicious Wonka Cakes are part of the Hostess pastry line and were just like Hostess CupCakes but had purple filling, purple icing on top and instead of white swirls, had orange swirls. Wonka Cakes were released to tie-in with the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and have a picture of Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka on the box. They were only available until July 25 2005. Wonka Cakes returned again for the DVD release of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
