The Oklahoma Metro Football League (OMFL) is a semi-pro – minor league based in Oklahoma.
The OMFL plays in the spring with its championship game, the Metro Bowl, played in early June. It was founded in 2007 to help semi-pro teams in Oklahoma grow, develop and reduce the overall expense of managing their American football teams. The league is wholly owned by the teams that compete within it. It has an executive board and has established by-laws.

2008 season
Two existing teams, the Oklahoma City Gunners and the Oklahoma (Midwest City) Force were joined by three new teams, the Norman Nitro, Shawnee Millers, and the Stillwater Outlaws. The inaugural season ended with a championship game between the league's most established and newest team.

2009 season
The OMFL brought back four of the teams from 2008, four new teams, and existing teams from the Central Football League (American football) for 2009. Again the championship was between an established team and a new one. The Oklahoma City Gunners would not finish their 2009 season; it would be their last season in the OMFL.
