Chasing Morgan

Chasing Morgan is an American pop punk band from Harford County, Maryland that began in late 2009. Taking influence from such pop punk acts as Blink-182, New Found Glory and The Ramones, Chasing Morgan play a brand of energetic and melodic pop punk. They have played along side national touring bands such as Hawthorne Heights, ZO2, After Midnight Project, Veins Of Jenna, I Call Fives, We Are The Union and Handguns. The band is currently unsigned, and self-released their debut EP The Breakfast Special in 2011.

History

Formation/Breaking The Silence

The band was formed in early 2006 by childhood friends Darin Reagan and Steve Cross. later that year after meeting him on their Track and Field team, Kevin Ambrosich became the third member of the band. They went through several name changes and line up changes until November 2009 when they were contacted by Mark Weider AbOUT joining the band. When Mark joined they picked friend Brian Lindsey to play drums and they started writing music under the name Breaking The Silence. In April 2010 the band released a 4 song demo CD that they gave out at their high schools for free. The band started playing shows in June 2010.

Chasing Morgan, The Breakfast Special and present

After playing a few shows in the summer of 2010, the band decided to change their name to avoid copyright issues. Later that summer they announced that they would change their name to Chasing Morgan.

In November 2010 Chasing Morgan started recording their debut EP at Orca Sound Studios with producer Kevin Johnston. Chasing Morgan's debut EP The Breakfast Special was self released by the band in February 2011. AbsolutePunk.net reviewed the EP, giving it an overall positive review saying "this EP is strangely well-produced for such a young band" and "this EP is an impressive release for a group of high school kids"

The band is currently writing material for their debut full length album.
