Chaos for comfort

Chaos for Comfort is an indie rock trio from Elmira, Ontario, Canada. Formed in 1998 with brothers Jonathan and Paul Rivard and former step brother Derek Boyce (Boyce). In 2000 the band released their first LP, The Solemn Promise. The band then went back to work creating their 2002 EP, Afraid of Sunflowers which was a free promotional release. In 2004, some recordings the band was working on including "If the Weather Holds" and "Sunday Afternoon" were used in the independent american film "Hunting with Simon Ashley" and the Faint and Hearted Records compilation "Compilation Number One" (FAHR-001). Following these various artists releases was their 2005 LP, Moments Aligned in Symmetry.

The band's instrumentation consists of Jonathan Rivard on bass, keyboards, backing vocals with Derek Boyce (Boyce) playing drums and other percussion and Paul Rivard as guitar and lead vocals. The band also consistently tours with a visual artist named Pontius Phallus.
