Caroline Klebl
Caroline Klebl (born November 23, 1977) is a yoga teacher and founder of Source of Yoga.
Early life
Klebl was born in Germany to parents of Austrian and British American descent. She spent her early years in Vienna before coming to the United States
Career
Introduction to yoga
In search for a life teacher, a guru, she turned to yoga and found the only yoga teacher in Breckenridge, Colorado. In 1999 feeling the need to pursue something greater than herself, Klebl took her first trip to Mysore, India and had the opportunity to study under and practice with K. Pattabhi Jois.
In 1998 upon returning to the United States, she started to focus on teaching yoga. She wanted to share the very positive experience she had practicing Yoga with others. She developed courses and taught led and Mysore style classes. Caroline also pursued other styles of Yoga such as: Viniyoga and Iyengar. In 2002 she taught her first international workshops in Europe.
Klebl returned to India to continue her studies with Jois. In the last few years of her teacher’s life, the main Shala, where increasing numbers were making the pilgrimage. As a result the classes became crowded and at times confusing. Observing her passion, the master invited her to learn advanced Asanas in a smaller class setting in a different part of town. At around this time she realized that she had found her Guru.
Jois encouraged her to continue to practice Yoga and advanced her studies further by earning a doctorate degree from the India University of Alternative medicine and teaching yoga Asana.
Teaching career
Klebl developed a 200 and 500- hour Yoga Teacher Training Programs, which she conducts in Los Angeles and in beautiful tropical retreat around the world.
Klebl certification courses are registered with the Yoga Alliance and surpass the international 200 and 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training standards. Graduates of her course have opened Yoga centers and teach Yoga all over the world.
She has also published an instructional DVD and other works illustrating Yoga Asanas.

In 2012 she began filming for Yoga Euphoria, an experiential film, which documents the practice of hundreds of Yoga Asanas.
Ashtanga yoga
Ashtanga Yoga translated from Sanskrit as the eight steps of Union: Yama (restraints), Niyama (observances), Asana (postures), Pranayama (breath control), Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation) and Samadhi (absorption). These principles are found to be an effective method for self-realization and liberation from suffering.
Ayurveda
Ayurveda (the science of life) is a 5,000 year old Indian systems of medicine which is considered to be the science that complements yoga.
In present day practices Ayurveda emphasizes that inherited tendencies, environmental conditions, diet and lifestyle are the main causes of health problems and disease. The imbalance of these conditions disturbs Agni (fire), or metabolism, which then increases Ama (toxins) within the body Ayurveda emphasizes correct Yoga Asana practice as well as a good diet that consists of healthy vegetarian meals and avoiding alcohol and caffeine.
Ayurvedic spas have utilized yoga as well as massage therapy and beauty treatment, targeted to increase longevity and eliminate disease.
