Chakravarti Rajagopalachari Kesavan (C.R.Kesavan) is a spokesperson for the Indian National Congress.. He is a member of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee's Trust. He is also the great grandson of former chief minister C. Rajagopalachari In 2003, C. R. Kesavan wrote a biography on his great grandfather titled ‘Unfolding Rajaji’.
In 2000, he joined the Indian National Congress. He was appointed as a Member of the National Council of the Indian Youth Congress in 2003.He also served as a Member on the Board of Prasar Bharati in the Union Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.. In 2005, he was appointed as the Vice President of the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development , Sriperumbudur.
He led the 85th year enactment of the historic Vedaranyam Salt March in 2015, walking to Agastyampillai and picking up salt with volunteers like Rajaji did in 1930 defying British orders.
