Brownhills West (Midland Railway) railway station

Brownhills West (Midland Railway) railway station was a station and the terminus on the Aldridge to Brownhills Branch, it opened around the same time as Walsall Wood railway station and Brownhills Watling Street railway station. The lines through the station also provided access for mineral and freight traffic to the collieries at Cannock Chase and Chasewater.

The station lost its passenger services in 1930 along with Walsall Wood and Brownhills Watling Street stations although the line remained in use for mineral and goods traffic until 1965 when the line was closed altogether and was lifted to Brownhills West station.

The station reopened as part of the Chasewater Railway in 1985 and continued to be served by the line until 2002/3 when the Chasewater Light Railway & Museum Company were told that they needed to move the station due to the construction of the M6 Toll Way and they were compensated for the move by the government.

The new station was built at Chasewater and now serves as the western terminus on the heritage line.
