BLISS (band)

Bliss (1987-1997) was a popular devotional band, made up of ISKCON devotees.

Background

BLISS was created in the fall of 1987. It is predominantly the creation of Robert Campagnola (Hari) who wrote most of the material and played most of the parts. He had some help from Mats Olauson and Yadunandana, and on one album collaborated with Carl-Henrick Ollson (Kardama Muni). The recordings were made on the first midi sequencers, using equipment available at the time and midi drum patterns. The recordings were an attempt to integrate spiritual lyrics with modern music. Although a good quantity of the albums were sold, they were never as hugely successful as the earlier RASA recordings or the later Sri Hari recordings, projects which relied heavily on Robert's input.
