Bilal (British singer)
Bilal Shahid (born 7 September 1993) better known simply as Bilal, is an English singer and rapper popular in the Midlands, England. He is of Pakistani and Bangladeshi descent.
Career
Shahid was born in London, England, and moved to Northampton at the age of 12 and started writing songs and putting them online. His initial success came with "I Wanna Be" that was on rotation on BBC Radio Northampton.
In March 2010, Shahid released "Belong to Me" his debut single that features Yemi Pade. It was broadcast on ethnic stations including BBC Asian Network. A music video was shot for the song. He has collaborated with artists such as EyeC, Fab, Yemi Pade, Mat-E-Rich, Irfan Chaudhry and producers like Spookzville and WZDM. In April 2011, he released his single "Can't Live Alone" which was written by Shahid himself and has a combination of rapping and singing.
In December 2011, he released his debut album, AbOUT Us: The Ultimate Love Story, which features artists EyeC and Fab.
On 15 April 2012, he released his first official debut single "Scream Out Loud", which features MC/Rapper Raxstar. The song was produced by Quantize Music and the song was written by Shahid himself as well as Raxstar's verse been written by Raxstar.
Shahid is currently under the same management as Raxstar who are both managed by Khalid Khan who is based in London.
