Early Career
At the age of 13 is when jay started writing lyrics of his own while still at school where he would use his school books to write lyrics in, rather than do his homework in them. At that period of time the UK Urban scene was getting noticed commercially and acts such as So Solid Crew, Oxide and Neutrino and others were emerging on our T.V Screens and Radio Sets so there was no lack of influence upon him. He started to get noticed in and outside of school for his talent, where at lunch break in the playground everybody would gather around to hear his lyrics as well as other Mc's in the school and would heap praise on him, this gave him a boost of confidence to make him think that he can make something out of his talent and be known for it. He then created a crew with fellow school members, a DJ and 3 other emcees.
The Comeback
After a long break Jay started writing again. UK Garage was emerging to a new sound. In the end jay found his style, which is different to many others. Jay returned battling other emcees.
Raw Talent on Road
Jay Fullstop V then took his lyrics to a wider scale, appearing on Pirate radio station to broadcast his style of rhyming stations like Major Fm, Delight Fm, Frontline Fm, Lay Low Fm, World Fm, Horror FM any pirate radio you can think of he was there. Although winning Emcee battles in school and on Radio Jay then looked at his talent and wanted more than just a Pirate Radio slot. Jay then started to record tracks in a bedroom of a friend and was then recognized for his debut version of Ghetto Kyote all over the UK a website was then created, to promote his tracks this as the creation of his 1st EP in 2003 ‘Raw talent on Road’. Jay had his name floating around forums about his songs and radio sets all over UK. Jay continued to build on this buzz but it only lasted for a while. Jay tried looking for management, but none were interested in felt that he weren’t ‘creative’ enough.
