Bhatti Indian Grill

Gaurav Anand, who has over 6 years of experience in the hospitality industry, is the Chef/Owner of Bhatti Indian Grill which opened in New York City’s Gramercy Park (Curry Hill) neighborhood in July 2009. Bhatti Indian Grill has already earned an exceptional reputation for its north Indian cuisine, which is mostly prepared on the Bhatti, a special volcanic rock grill from North India.

Anand traveled extensively through the northern parts of India to learn local recipes and secrets, including methods for marinating and tenderizing meat, before moving to New York to launch his restaurant projects. Gaurav’s prior experience has been in India with Tripti, Inc., where his team of chefs, managers and servers included qualified and experienced hotel and catering professionals.

In India, Anand and his partners manage banquet services for the elite and daily operations for two prestigious restaurants and bars in the capital city of New Delhi. Since Tripti, Inc. started its first venture in fine dining restaurants, the company has never looked back, initiating new projects such as hosting prominent banquets and events for various Corporate Houses, Multinationals, and weddings/receptions, etc. for Delhi’s crème de la crème.

At Bhatti Indian Grill, age-old culinary secrets come alive in delightful preparations, each adding their own distinctive taste to a truly revolutionary concept in Indian cuisine.

Coming soon: Kathi Rolls by Kabab Factory, the newest restaurant venture by Anand, which is scheduled to open across the street from Bhatti Indian Grill in January 2010.
