Association of Scientists, Developers and Faculties

The Association of Scientists, Developers and Faculties (ASDF, typed in QWERTY in series as A-S-D-F) is a professional association headquartered in India that is dedicated to Research and development. This learned society aims purely in the development of knowledge in all the means of the sharing the knowledge among the people. ASDF organizes International Conferences, Workshops, Seminars and Symposia's where the platform is created for sharing the knowledge among the fellow people is being facilitated. ASDF provides Financial Sponsorship, Technical Sponsorship and Technical Co-sponsorship for various Conferences organized by various organizations and institutions globally.

Unlike the IEEE or Association for Computing Machinery, however, the ASDF is solely dedicated for continuous Research, Development and Patenting.

History

The history of ASDF starts from the year of 2006 from the date of inception of Techno Forum Research and Development Centre. With the numerous automation strategies in the area of the Computer Technology, an unified Research and Development team was initiated within Techno Forum. To maintain the balance between the Research and the Software automation a recruitment has happened. As a result, there was no interest among the candidates on account of unguided pathway and non-accreditation of the same. With the discussion of renowned persons within Academia a new society was AbOUT to be initiated at International level. During the discussion non-academic people from Industries and Scientific people expressed their inability about the connectivity with each other.

In view of all the aspects, this Association of Scientists, Developers and Faculties was formulated on 3 December 2010. The same was presented to Shri. Vaithilingam, Chief Minister of Pondicherry and was framed with unique Rules and Regulations. The memorandum and articles of association was sent to the Registrar of Companies for the formation of the International Not for Profit organization.

Activities

ASDF is organized into over 72 Regional Chapters led by the Regional Directors reporting to the Executive Directors, through which it conducts most of its activities. Adding to this ASDF has its chapters in various Colleges and Universities. The first Chapter was initiated in Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology at Pondicherry, India very soon after the initiation of the Association of Scientists, Developers and Faculties happened at Hotel Annamalai International.

The Chapters generously sponsor the Conferences and hosts conferences, workshops which have become famous as the dominant venue for presenting innovations in certain fields. ASDF publishes 12 International Journals with the impact factor ranging from 0.06 to 0.86.

ASDF also hosts the Software Development Contest each and every year to promote the view on developing Software for social cause. The SDC is very common among the Students as it has created the platform to make the Software and sell it into the world.

Open Access Proceedings Library

ASDF Open Access Proceedings Library is one of the most preferred activity by many of the Researchers Globally. This is a page where all the Conferences sponsored will be listed along with their final proceedings which will be an open one. All the proceedings book listed here in this ASDF-OPAL are also listed by Google Books. There is no restriction for the usage of the files with the limitation and citing the same as References in your research. The resultant page is highly sortable and works out to find a particular proceeding in a large database. The work is categorized as EDLIB (Electronic Digital LIBrary) which publishes all the papers in various Conferences and Seminars.

Individual Memberships

Association of Scientists, Developers and Faculties offers only individual membership which can directly benefit the member without any barriers. At macro level ASDF offers 5 types of memberships.

Honorary Membership

Honorary Memberships are also known as Fellow Member of ASDF. These memberships are given out of Invitation on recognition of the individuals achievements or activities. This is a lifetime premium membership with no charges recovered from the Individual. Annually there is a limit of maximum 5 such invitation rolled out at the end of the Governing Council meetings. These invitations cannot be shared or transferred, if non-utilized they may get lapsed.

Scientist Membership

The Scientist Membership is eligible for applying by an individual if he/she is a Continuous Researcher or Designated Scientist or an Innovator or a Patent Holder or should have Technical Papers & Journals in past 1 Year. There is no age restriction for the application of Scientist Membership with ASDF.

Developer Membership

The Developer Membership is eligible for applying by an individual if he/she is an IT Developer or Network Engineer or a Mechanical Engineer or a Telecommunications engineering and others who cannot be accommodated into Scientist or Faculty category. There is no age restriction for the application of Developer Membership with ASDF.

Faculty Membership

The Faculty Membership is eligible for applying by an individual if he/she is a Professor or an Associate Professor or a Faculty or a Lecturer or Assistant Professor or a Dean and whomever involved in teaching. There is no age restriction for the application of Faculty Membership with ASDF.

Student Membership

The Student Membership is eligible for applying by an individual if he/she is a Student of a University or a College or an Institute. Maximum age for acquiring the Student Membership has been fixed by the Governing Council as 30. ASDF highly encourages members of the Management Studies, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Communication, Mechanical, Biotechnology, Civil and Electrical streams.

Institute Memberships

ASDF has begun offering Institute Memberships with reference to their Governing Council Meeting which happened recently. Institute memberships are given for Schools (10th, 11th and 12th), Arts and Science, Polytechnics, Engineering and Universities.

Chapters

ASDF Chapter Memberships are offered to an organization or research body or university or a college which has satisfied the minimum requirements for the Chapter. Apart from these ASDF offers the Geographical Level Chapters. The major chapters are in United States, United Kingdom, Thailand, Muscat, Korea, Mauritius, Vietnam and various other geographical locations. Apart from these, in India there are few chapters where the memberships are too high in count.

Conferences

ASDF organizes as well as supports various Conferences every year. All such events are listed in the events calendar. International Conference on Computer Applications (ICCA), International Conference on Cloud Computing and eGovernance (ICCCEG), World Security Summit (ASDF-WSS) are few of the branded ASDF Conferences organized across various parts of the world in each and every instance.

Journals

Association of Scientists, Developers and Faculties publishes 12 (Twelve) International Standard Journals. Covering to a wide area of Research and Publication, these 12 International Journals comes with a unique ISSN annually. Certain special issues are also released as per the Conference bilateral Agreements based on the Sponsorships.

The International Journals published by Association of Scientists, Developers and Faculties is a Peer-Reviewed, Open-access journal devoted to publishing research papers in all fields of Computer Science Technology and areas close to the thrust of ASDF. It aims to provide an international forum for the exchange of IDeaS and findings from researchers across different cultures and encourages research on the impact of cultural factors on design theory and practice. It also seeks to promote the transfer of knowledge between professionals in academia and industry by emphasizing research in which results are of interest or applicable to design practices. These interdisciplinary journal aims to focus on the exchange of relevant trends and research results as well as the presentation of practical experiences gained while developing and testing elements of technology enhanced learning. So it aims to bridge the gap between pure academic research journals and more practical publications. So it covers the full range from research, application development to experience reports and product descriptions. These Journals prefers papers with practical background, clear description, effective physical and mathematical model, clear framework of algorithm and successful practical applications.
