Arvind Jaiswar
Sensei Arvind Jaiswar (born 1 March 1985), also known as Arvind Kumar Radheshyam Jaiswar, is an Indian martial artist specializing in karate, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts (MMA). With more than two decades of experience, he is known for his contributions to the promotion and development of combat sports in India. He serves as a national MMA referee and judge and is the president of ISPORTSFA Inventor Sports and Fitness Academy and the Mixed Martial Arts Association of Mumbai.
Early life and education
Jaiswar was born in Mumbai, India, to Radheshyam Jaiswar, a cutting master, and Kaushalya Jaiswar. He grew up in the Dharavi area of Mumbai, where exposure to street violence and challenging living conditions influenced his decision to pursue martial arts for self-protection.
He began training in karate at the age of 12. Alongside his martial arts training, Jaiswar pursued formal education, earning a diploma in electronics and later completing a bachelor's degree in commerce from Chetan College, Mumbai.
Martial arts career
Jaiswar began his formal martial arts journey in 1998 under Sensei Umesh Murkar. His dedication led to the achievement of the Sho Dan (black belt) in karate in 2006. In 2014, he expanded into kickboxing and earned a 2nd Dan Black Belt under the World Ultimax Sports Federation.
He competed at district, state, and national levels, winning multiple gold medals and accolades. His achievements include the Best Fighter Trophy and the Best Active Person Award, recognizing both his competitive excellence and contribution to martial arts development.
Mixed martial arts
In 2018, Jaiswar transitioned into mixed martial arts under the guidance of Sensei Mayur Bansode. He developed expertise across striking and grappling disciplines and achieved instructor-level proficiency in karate, kickboxing, and MMA.
As a coach and instructor, he trains aspiring fighters and promotes structured, disciplined approaches to combat sports and fitness training in India.
Leadership and contributions
In 2018, Jaiswar founded ISPORTSFA Inventor Sports and Fitness Academy in Mumbai. The academy focuses on mixed martial arts training, fitness development, and holistic well-being, offering personalized programs for athletes and the general public.
He serves as the president of the Mixed Martial Arts Association of Mumbai and is a certified national referee and judge with the Mixed Martial Arts Federation of India (MMAFI). In these roles, he contributes to athlete development, event organization, and the regulation of professional MMA competitions across India.
