Adarsh Balak Mandir High School
Adarsh Balak Mandir Highschool is a renowned school in the locality of Islampur in Sangli district, Maharashtra, India. It was established by D. L. Ramname, who was a freedom fighter, in 1945. Previously it held its location at Gandhi Chowk, Islampur, but then it was shifted to Sambhaji Chowk area by Late Hon. Pralhad Hari Deshpande Sir. He has been a great source of influence and guidance for the school and has helped it to build its high reputation it boasts today. The school has always been a matter of discussion because of the tradition it holds in having meritorious students in almost every competitive exam including NTSE, IIT-JEE, State Scholarships, Homi-Bhabha Young Scientist etc. Recently it created the history with its SSC results of 2010 where Shardul Dabane- a student of the school got a score of 98.91% total. Its past student Rohanil Raje has made it proud by cracking IIT-JEE to get into IIT, Bombay. Students like Pranav Shende, Sohan Kallur had also been around to get NTSE merit.
