Abbie Richardson

Abbie Richardson is a minor character in the Sweet Valley High book series.

Character

Abbie is first introduced in SVH#44, "Pretenses". She is originally a popular student and a close friend of Jessica Wakefield when they are FreshMen. However, when she begins dating a boy from another high school, she stops seeing her friends, hanging out solely with her boyfriend and his friends.

When Abbie's boyfriend breaks up with her two years later, she finds herself completely friendless. She is a talented cartoonist and submits some drawings to The Oracle, the Sweet Valley High School Newspaper, in an attempt to re-establish ties with her old friends. She ended up making a rival of haughty Amy Sutton, who was interested in putting in an advice column, but true to form, Amy didn't want to do the work to make the column a success. Abbie's cartoon, Jenny, is accepted and she becomes good friends with co-worker and Jessica's identical twin, Elizabeth.
