250. Air Defense Missile Brigade

250. air defense missile brigade ISA joint air base is a joint tactical air force unit the basic organizational structure of which is made up of modular units at the escadrille-battalion-division level.

250th Air Defense missile brigade comprises five Air Defense missile divisions. the existing organization provides integration of various armaments systems, as well as rational use of available resources for the purpose of achieving a higher level of capability and readiness to perform tasks and missions.

History

250th air defense missile brigade, the first missile unit in our armed forces, was formed in November of 1962, was transformed into a brigade during 80's by introducing into armaments system another four missile and on missile technical division of the missile system "NEVA". In the period 1992-1994 DVINA missile systems divisions were gradually disposed of, while the "NEVA" missile system of the former 350. Air Defense missile brigade was introduced. Since 1994, The Brigade comprises 8 missile and two missile technical divisions, and 1999 six missile and one missile technical division of "NEVA" system. During 2004 the brigade was reformed comprising a command division, seven missile divisions, a missile technical division and a logistics battalion.
