The 2026 YouTube/FIFA Creator Cup was the inaugural creator-led exhibition match of the same name jointly organized and hosted by FIFA and the video-sharing platform YouTube. It took place at Wollman Rink in New York City, one of the host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup also hosted by FIFA and was held after the quarterfinals. The full match was broadcast live on YouTube on both the official channel of FIFA and IShowSpeed.

Background

On the same year as the match, the 2026 FIFA World Cup was taking place across 3 host nations: Canada, United States, and Mexico. Popular streamer IShowSpeed had collaborated with FIFA on multiple occasions, including releasing the viral song World Cup (Champions), which was later added to the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album. He had also collaborated with FIFA to take part in a special World Cup tour, visiting the stadiums to live stream his reactions on YouTube. YouTube has also partnered with FIFA and other broadcasters to allow them to stream the first 10 minutes of a match on the platform.

Summary

The match featured two teams captained by influencers IShowSpeed and Céline Dept under the names Team Speed and Team Celine. Unlike most FIFA World Cup games, each half was 25 minutes, with half-time taking 10 minutes. Each team also had 7 players, both either content creators or footballers. Team Celine led the first few minutes 2–0, however Team Speed later scored 4 comeback goals ending the first half 4–2 to Team Speed with goals from IShowSpeed, Marlon and Stag. In the second half, IShowSpeed collided with Céline in the 29th minute, causing her to feel pain in her chest. Marlon had later scored a hat-trick for Team Speed in the 44th minute, bringing the score to 7–5. In the final moments of the match, Ayy scored a goal for Team Celine in the final minute of the game, bringing the final score to 7–6, with Team Speed winning the game. Team Speed were to lift the Lego trophy instead of the real trophy.

Reception

Three hours after the match ended, IShowSpeed's stream gained around 2,000,000 views on YouTube. An estimated 70,000 users viewed the match live.
