2014 Southswedish Kart Champion Cup
The 2014 SouthSwedish Kart Champion Cup (SKCC) is the 2014 championship of the largest kart racing series in Scandinavia, with over 850 competitors from the whole of Sweden. Some of Swedens best racedrivers started their careers in SKCC.
Below is some information regarding the most popular classes racing in 2014:
Formula Micro
The smallest racing class with drivers aged between 8 and 11 years old. Aimed as a learing and teaching class of racing . Using 95 cc Raket engines which have a potential top speed of 80 km/h.
Formula Mini
Drivers aged between 11 and 15 years old who are potentially more experienced. Using similar engines as Formula Micro, with minor improvements. Vehicles have a potential top speed of 90 km/h.
Junior 60
An international class with drivers netween 9 and 13 years old. Using 60cc engines but using lighter vehicles than Micro and Mini classes. Vehicles have a potential top speed of 95 km/h.
KF Junior
Another international class. The karts are bigger and faster being capable of reaching speeds up to 120 km/h. The drivers are aged between 13 and 15 years old. The vehciles engine capacity being in the region of 125 cc.
Rotax Max Senior
A slightly slower class than KF Junior. It is considered a very though class with many experienced drivers. The Rotax Max Challenge series is held all over the world, and a few of the SKCC drivers also competes in the RMC Swedene. vehicles in this class are powered by a Rotax 125cc engine producing 35 horse power. The karts can reache speeds of 115 km/h.
KZ2
The fastest and most expensive class. Vehicles in this calss have a five stage gearbox and 4 wheel breaking. The karts can reach speeds of 140 km/h, with potential to pass this on really long straights.
