The 2009–10 NCRHA Division I season began on September 26, 2009 and ended with the College Roller Hockey National Championship Tournament's championship game on April 11, 2010 at the Silver Creek Sportsplex in San Jose, California.

Member organization winners and tournaments
Six member organizations each end their regular seasons with at tournament. The teams in each conference that win their regular season title are given the number one seed in each tournament. The winners of these tournaments receive automatic invitations to the 2010 NCRHA Division I Collegiate Roller Hockey National Championships. The Rocky Mountain Collegiate Roller Hockey Association only has one Division I school and does not have a regional tournament, instead giving their automatic invitation to their regular season champion Colorado State.

Collegiate Roller Hockey National Championships
The NCRHA Collegiate Roller Hockey National Championships started on April 7, 2010 and concluded on April 11 at the Silver Creek Sportsplex in San Jose, California. Of the 24 teams that were invited to participate, 7 were automatic bids while 17 were at-large bids. The 17 at-large teams came from 6 member organizations. 1 regional champion and 2 at-large teams declined their invitation, so 3 alternate at-large bids were granted.
