Class-B.Net is a growing website that covers the horror genre with reviews, interviews and news. Bram Stoker Award winning author Kim Paffenroth called Class-B "some young people who know their horror, both in print and on screen". Class-B.Net was formed in March 2007 and has gained considerable momentum since then. It is currently run by Alex Zawacki, Scott Douglass, Andrew Wyrich, Ben Goodheart, Connor Gill, Dylan Gonzalez, Daniela Lissandrello, Sam Rush and Thomas Gaffney. The site allegedly gets around 2,000 unique visitors and 20,000 page views each month. The website is updated daily with previews, reviews and rants from the writers in addition to news from the horror world. Writers such as Brian Keene, Kim Paffenroth, David Wellington, and Norman Partridge (among others) have been interviewed by Class-B.
Class-B.Net was called (on 11/16/07) "a site that will forever be known (to , anyway) as the first people to bother reviewing my retarded horror novel John Dies at the End."
History
Class-B was first founded on March 3rd, 2007, in Midland Park, New Jersey. The website was formed out of the students taking part in the Speculative Fiction club at Midland Park High School with English teacher Thomas Gaffney acting as a supervisor. Quickly, the enthusiastic crew of the club formed a website rooted deeply in their interest in the horror genre. Contact with major authors was established and on April 22nd, Bram Stoker-award winning author Brian Keene visited the creators of the site to give an interview. Next author Kim Paffenroth visited the site in May.
With Gaffney's departure at the end of the year from Midland Park High School, the new administration demanded censoring of all profanity, removal of reviews for all R-rated material, and removal of all mention of Gaffney. The club refused and severed all link with the school, ending the club and making Class-B.Net a separate entity. Since then, they have interviewed numerous other authors and reviewed dozens of books and films as well as adding articles frequently.
