Early life and education

Furqan Dawoodi is the son of Maulana Abdul Rasheed Dawoodi, a religious clerk. He studied in Anantnag up to the 8th standard and later moved to Kerala, where he completed his 12th standard. He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Islamic science.

Career

At the age of 20, Dawoodi began writing about women's rights in Islam. His debut book, Does Islam Snatch Anything from Her?, was published in 2022.

In an interview with Kashmir Images, Dawoodi stated that writing the book was an initial dream of his and that he had a passion for writing poetry, quotes, and small articles from a young age. He has also participated in essay writing competitions in Kerala.

Dawoodi described the book as a contribution toward presenting facts during times of Islamophobia. He stated that the book addresses taboo topics including divorce and aims to help young women understand the true essence of Islamic teachings regarding their rights. The book emphasizes equity rather than equality as the Islamic framework for gender relations.

Dawoodi mentioned that he had written another book about children, but put it on hold to focus on the women's rights topic due to its importance and educational necessity.

In addition to his writing career, Dawoodi works as a social media influencer.
