Something Wicca This Way Comes is the first episode of The WB drama series, Charmed. This is the series premiere of Charmed and the second pilot for the series. The original pilot never aired. The unaired pilot was shot in the actual manor that is shown on the show. After replacing Lori Rom, the show moved to a sound studio. Lori Rom left Charmed because of personal reasons. Executive producer Aaron Spelling asked Alyssa Milano, whom he knew from Melrose Place, to replace Rom as "Phoebe" and she accepted. Alyssa Milano has played Phoebe ever since.* The name of this episode is a play on words from Shakespeare's Macbeth. There are three witches, known as the Weird Sisters. The line is "By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes." This is the highest rated episode of Charmed in the entire series.
Plot summary
The show opens with a witch sitting at an altar and lighting candles with the tips of her fingers. This is her power. She begins a ritual when she is startled by her cat, most probably her familiar. She continues her ritual but then turns around again and is startled by someone who is not identified to us. She acts as if she knows him and there is nothing to fear around him but then she screams.
Phoebe Halliwell returns to the Manor of her childhood in San Fransisco after living in New York for 6 months. The manor is where her two sisters Piper Halliwell and Prue Halliwell currently live. There is some friction between Prue and Phoebe.
Prue does not know about Phoebe moving back in until moments before she arrives. It is pouring with rain out side and the power fails. Prue and Piper go to fix the fuse while Phoebe ventures up to the attic sometime later after mysteriously receiving a message from the family Ouiji board(with the inscription on the back " The light will leads you to find the Shadows, the power of three will set you free, love mom .". In the attic, she finds a huge book in a chest that the moon light streamed down onto entitled "The Book of Shadows".the light of the moon is the light mentioned in the inscription and the "shadows" it will lead you to find is the book of shadows. She reads an incantation from it, giving her and her sisters their destined powers; Phoebe with premonitions, Piper can freeze particles and energy, and Prue has telekinesis. This activation of the Charmed Ones (their nickname in the magical community) causes the chanderlier in the foyer to shake and emit a blue light, probably because the house itself is magical, though we do not discover this until later episodes. It is ironic that Phoebe receives the power of premonitions as Prue stated in this episode that "Phoebe has no sense of the future whatsoever". It is also ironic that Piper receives the power to freeze time as Prue also mentions that Piper is always late and freezing time allows Piper "more time."
Later on, Prue quits her job due to the fact that Roger, her boss and ex-fiancé, is giving her a very hard time. Although she is not aware off it she uses her power to tighten his tie until it chokes him around his neck and he has to cut it off, and she makes a pen explode in his pocket so the ink leaks all over his shirt. Piper learns of her power when she gets frustrated and accidentally freezes the chef of the restaraunt she is trying out for, although she is suprised, she quickly puts the last ingridient into her tryout recipe. Phoebe is riding her bike when she has her first premonition of two boys on skates getting hit by a car. Usually Phoebe has to be touching an object to do with her premonition in order to receive one but here she is not, however her bike was involved in the outcome of the premonition so perhaps this is the item considered to be what triggers her premonition. She yells out when she sees them and skids her bike in front of them to stop them and she falls off. While Phoebe is in the hospital because of her accident, Prue meets up with her high school boyfriend and childhood friend, Andy, who is a detective. Phoebe and Prue go out together and talk, after finishing up at the hospital, about being witches. Prue is having difficulty swallowing the idea of being a witch, but when she keeps accidently using her power it gets harder to ignore. She and Phoebe go and get asprin from the pharmacy and she accidently knocks down a whole shelf of asprin using her powers when Phoebe gets her angry. Piper goes out with her boyfriend, Jeremy, later on, only to discover he is a warlock who has been involved in the recent murders of three witches. Just before he stabs her with an athame, a ceremonial knife that is sometimes used by witches to channel their powers, she freezes time and runs home to Prue and Phoebe. They cast a spell on Jeremy, who is coming to the Manor, and he stops, screaming in agony due to the fact the spell caused thorns to shoot out of his body. Piper and Prue think the job is done until Phoebe has a premonition of Jeremy still running back to the Manor. He bursts into the house and comes up to the attic where Piper, Prue and Phoebe recite the inscription on the back of their spirit board,"The power of three will set us free" a spell that vanquishes him for good. The next day, the three sisters realize that they won't be able to get rid of their destiny, but have to embrace it.
Book of Shadows
Enemies
*Jeremy Burns: A low level warlock who romances female witches to get their powers and kill them. Jeremy posed as a reporter, tricking women into dating him. Jeremy was capable of changing the shape of his face, ignite flames from his fingers, telekinesis, disintegrate objects, and project energy bolts from an athame. He is also capable of adjusting. He is after the Charmed Ones' powers and knows that they will be released after Grams dies. He starts dating Piper Halliwell so he can keep an eye on the sisters. Once Grams dies and Phoebe returns, he makes his move and is vanquished by the Halliwell Sisters.
Spells
*To Break The Bond of Love: Use a basket, poppet, nine candles anointed with oils and spices, and a rose given from the lover. Put basket and poppet on a table, encircled by the candles. To make it stronger, bind rose to poppet and press thorns into it. Place poppet in the basket and burn while saying the spell. Your love will wither and depart From my life and my heart Let me be, (name) And go away forever. Note: this spell did not vanquish Jeremy Burns, as intended, instead causing him to erupt in thorns. He was not porperly vanquished until the Charmed Ones recited the Power of Three Spell.
*Power of Three Spell: The power of three will set us free. repeat this spell until the evil being is destroyed.
*Dominus Tritunus: Hear now the words of the witches. The secrets we hid in the night. The oldest of Gods are invoked here. The great work of magic is sought. In this night and in this hour. We call upon the Ancient Power. Bring your powers to us sisters three! We want the power! Give us the power.

Errors
* When Jeremy attacks Piper in the elevator, Piper freezes him and the entire elevator stops moving (allowing her to get out). However, when Jeremy unfreezes, the elevator remains still. If time unfroze, the elevator should have continued going up and thus, Jeremy would have been unable to get to Piper.
* At the beginning of the episode, when Piper is running up the steps outside the house, she has an umbrella over her head, but when she hangs it up inside, its a different umbrella.
* When Jeremy is frozen in the elevator, his mouth is open from the front view. When we look side on, his mouth is shut.
* Some think, erroneously, that Prue first used her hands to move an object in the episode Out of Sight, but she first used her hands in this episode when she made Roger's tie strangle him.
*When Prue is talking to Andy at the end of the episode,at first she is holding the newspaper on her right and the word 'The' is facing toward the camera. Then, when the camera moves back to her after turning to Andy twice, she is holding it on her left and the letters,'zetter' are facing toward the camera.

Plasti-Blades are aftermarket main rotor blades for the E-flite Blade CP, E-Sky Honey Bee and similar electric radio controlled micro-helicopters. They are produced and marketed by JCS Hobbies of Chico, California, USA.
Prototype blades were computer designed at California State University Chico with the aid of Solidworks, the current state-of-the-art 3-D modeling program used in both the engineering and manufacturing industries. The design was then rendered in plastic with the aid of a Stratasys fused deposition modeler. This device operates in much the same method as a laser printer, but instead of fusing toner to paper, the laser in the FDM solidifies resin in thin layers. This allowed the finished samples to actually be attached to a Blade CP and successfully flown. Any necessary changes could then be reprogrammed into Solidworks, rendered on the FDM and refitted to the helicopter. Production units are cast from engineering-grade polymer plastic and individually hand-balanced to within .01 gram.
Both the product and company were the brainchild of John Sparks, a full-time student majoring in manufacturing at CSU Chico, a onetime Blackhawk helicopter crew chief for the United States Army and a lifelong R/C modeler. Sparks was interested in mastering the exceptionally difficult and touchy operation of the CP, but rapidly grew weary of replacing the fragile stock blades with each minor mishap.
Sparks had the university's resources at his disposal and, with permission, created a number of prototype blades for his personal use. The owner of the HobbyTown USA franchise in Chico saw the prototypes and, in Sparks' words, "about flipped out." It was during that meeting that Sparks decided to market Plasti-Blades to the general public. After six months of testing and development with the help of a tooling shop owned by his polymers professor at CSU Chico, Sparks' JCS Hobbies went into business on March 3rd, 2006. By late April that same year - seven short weeks - JCS was distributing Plasti-Blades via more than eighty hobby shops in the United States and worldwide via the Internet.
Though approximately seven grams heavier than stock owing to plastic temperature, injection pressures and other variables, runtimes on lithium polymer batteries are comparable to those generally expected with stock blades. Reduction of runtime is more pronounced with the stock nickel metal hydride battery. In both cases, users on radio control hobby message boards claim better, more vibration-free tracking and more steady hovering thanks to the additional mass. Though the original flat-bottomed blade design is not optimized for aerobatic flight, Sparks makes the claim on his webpage to have successfully looped his own Blade while it was fitted with a pair.
A second version with a semi-symmetrical airfoil design was introduced in late 2006 for those wishing to perform full aerobatics with their models.

Farm Hustle is an online Flash game on Avocadolite Farm in which the player rearranges small animals, who live in a grid, into sets of three or more.
Gameplay
Gameplay consists of clicking on neighboring animals, which switches their places, producing a light "ding" noise. When a set of three or more of the same animal is arranged, that set combusts into a small cloud of bluish magic, vacating the grid cells so that animals above fall into them, and awarding the player with points.
When gameplay begins, each grid space is tinged blue with magic. Combusting an animal in a certain grid space will use up the magic in the grid square. All magic in the grid must be used to advance to the next level.
Each level has its own time limit, counted down by a counter slightly below and on the lefthand side of the animal grid. Level 1 begins with 4 minutes even on the timer, and each level has 15 seconds less to begin with.
Combos can be produced in this fashion, leading to cascading eliminations of animals. Combos of sufficient depth produce bombs, arranged slightly below and on the right-hand side of the animal grid. When a bomb is used, a number of animals in random locations on the grid are combusted. The number of successive combos required to generate a bomb increases with the level which the player is on. Using a bomb can lead to combos that generate more bombs-- this is referred to as "beitbeiting." However, beitbeiting is relatively infrequent at higher levels.
Theory
Farm Hustle is a game based on the movement of animals. The only interaction with the animal grid possible is movement of animals. Some have proposed that Farm Hustle is in fact an allegory for an agrarian, communistic society in which farm resources of nature are paramount. The presence of magic in grid squares supports a traditional, premodern interpretation. However, others have noted the presence of a point system invites more capitalist interpretations. Regardless, it is unquestionable that the game is a powerful commentary on modern social norms (LMFAO).
It is also well-known that Farm Hustle is the only game of its kind to require the player to combust an animal in every square before advancing to the next level. By contrast, in the Flash game Zookeeper, for example, the player must destroy a set amount of each animal before advancing, but where the annihilation occurs is of no consequence. Therefore, experts observe that Farm Hustle takes as its basis Newtonian absolute space, as opposed to a system more like Einsteinian relative space (as in Zookeeper).
World Records
Currently the highest known score is a massive 23,925, attained on level 11. The record was set by an accountant from Liverpool, England, UK, known as scousecat.
Currently the highest known level achieved is level 12. The record was set on the 25th March 2007 by a Graphic Artist from Farnham, England known as Lorna.
