Dead Pretties were an English rock band from London and were part of the Windmill Scene. The band consists of singer Jacob Slater (later of Cornish rock band Wunderhorse), bassist Oscar Browne and drummer Ben Firth. They released their singles "Water", "Confidence" and "Nothing" in 2017. They released their debut single "Social Experiment" also in 2017. They played at the Sunflower Lounge in Birmingham in 2017. They played live alongside other London bands Goat Girl, Shame and Fish (now Sorry), and supported Drenge, the Orwells and HMLTD. They are inspired by Sonic Youth, the Cramps, the White Stripes, the Velvet Underground, Fat White Family and Joni Mitchell. They released their EP in 2017. They played Xposure alongside Spring King in Omeara. They played alongside Monk and LICE in the Windmill in Brixton. They broke up in 2017 and Slater later moved to Newquay to form Wunderhorse. They supported Australian rock band Pond alongside Crewel Intentions in the Working Men's Club in Bethnal Green.
