Alyssa Rallo Bennett

Alyssa Rallo Bennett is a director/writer/producer and the co-founder of Stonestreet Studios, the screen acting studio of NYU Tisch and an independent production company based in New York City. Her feature films include ReRUN, The Pack, The Arrival, and Vineland.

Education

Alyssa Rallo Bennett received her MA from NYU Gallatin in Drama and Psychology and her BFA from NYU Tisch Drama. She studied with the Group Theater's Robert Lewis and techniques of Sanford Meisner, Lee Strasberg, Uta Hagen, and Stella Adler.

Career

In 1991, Alyssa created the Stonestreet Screen Acting & Production residency, a riveting program within Stonestreet's independent film studio which trains NYU Tisch Drama actors in all methods of acting and production. Many performers have developed their screen acting skills at Stonestreet, including Miles Teller, Rachel Brosnahan, Nik Walker, Camila Mendes, Beanie Feldstein, Danny Ramirez, Jack Quaid, Xosha Roquemore, Skeet Ulrich, Idina Menzel and others.

She has developed and directed several features together with her partner Gary O. Bennett, including ReRUN, starring Christopher Lloyd. The film premiered on October 15, 2018, at the Woodstock Film Festival. The feature also screened opening night of the Big Apple Film Festival, and was accepted into the Northeast Film Festival where it won multiple awards.

Alyssa developed and prodeuced Rain Without Thunder starring Jeff Daniels, Linda Hunt, and Austin Pendleton and also played the role of Max Sinclair, an imprisoned radical feminist. She co-wrote and directed the feature The Pack, which stars Lucie Arnaz, Elisabeth Moss, and Zach Galligan.

Alyssa also records and releases music under the name Rallo Bennett, with her debut album “Anymore” releasing in 2022, followed by a number of subsequent singles and an upcoming sophomore album in production. She is also lead singer of the rock band The Yesters.
