Progresso is an unincorporated community in Torrance County, New Mexico, United States. Most of the community (approximately 990 acres) is private property. The only remaining building is the old school house. Nearby towns include Willard and Cedarvale. Many ranches and farms are located near Progresso. Ownership of Progresso and surrounding property has been in the Velasquez and Maes families since the early 1900s. Current ownership is held by Progresso Holdings LLC.
Hugh Stuart Menzies (18861959) was a British advertising executive. Born in London, in 1922 he set up the Stuart Advertising Agency that worked with contemporary artists of the time such as Edward Bawden, Edward McKnight Kauffer, Ben Nicholson, and Barbara Hepworth. Menzies initially worked for Fortnum & Mason running their Invalid Delicasies Food Department before becoming a copywriter and producing the Commentaries for Fortnum & Mason - a new style of direct mail booklets illustrated by W Hendy, Menzies and Edward Bawden. The Stuart Advertising Agency were commissioned to design the logo of Imperial Airways and some of the Shell on the Road publicity for Shell-Mex & BP. Menzies's business partner, Marcus Brumwell, headed the firm when Menzies retired around 1938–9. Menzies moved with his wife, Elizabeth to Tahiti and later settled in Canada. He died in December 1959 whilst on a cruise near Gibraltar.

Rekhtin Maxim (, born 9 June 1994) - is a Kazakhstan athlete, dancer, journalist, presenter, and blogger. He is "Champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan", "Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan", member of two World Championship teams (2009, 2011), "Asian Championships Finalist" (2010) – in sport (ballroom) dancing. As journalist he interviewed many Kazakh, Russian and international celebrities. He created the online video project of Dance Sport Federation of Kazakhstan and a video blog.
