Camp Welcome
Camp Welcome is a registered theme at the Burning Man event in the Black Rock desert in Northern Nevada during the week prior to Labor Day every year.
History
2006
While many of the camp members camped together, the camp was not officially named and was at this time not a theme camp. The camp was located at 5:15 and between Eager and Fate. there was only 11-15 members of the camp at this time. The camp consisted of several cars and a trailer encircling a central parachute. The camp also had an art car, which consisted of a decorated ATV towing a two story bed decorated in the same style as the ATV.
2007
In 2007, the camp was still yet unregistered camp. This however, was the year the camp name "Camp Welcome" was adopted, as a name members of the camp used. The camp's name was taken from a welcome sign acquired by a camp member on the way out of the event in the previous year. Camp Welcome 2007 was again located in the same general area as 2006. Camp Welcome had 20 members in 2007. In 2007, the camp had upgraded to a dome as the focal point of camp. The art car from the 2006 also returned and made its final appearance on the playa. This was also the year that many Camp Welcome traditions were created, such as the camp wide "wizard staff" game as well as the Virgin of The Year award. In 2007 Camp Welcome also celebrated a wedding as two of its members were wed at the event.
2008
In 2008, Camp Welcome become an officially recognized theme camp. The camp was located at 2:45 and The Wheel. Camp Welcome had 30 members. In 2008, Camp Welcome had the same dome from the previous year, but also added 3 car ports and a scaffolding to the camp. This year the camp also had a full bar, and offered a daily happy hour as well as an open mic night lasting about 2 hours each night. The camp replaced the welcome sign from the year previous with a homemade Welcome sign, in which each letter was made by different members of the camp. In 2008, the art car from previous years was retired and a new art was brought. This art consisted of an island built on top of a car with a small boat on it and a hammock on the outside, as well as a chill out room in the interior of the car.
2009
For the upcoming year of 2009, Camp welcome will again be in the same place as 2008. The camp has added a second dome and is expecting around 40-45 members this year.
Future Plans
Camp Welcome already as many plans for Burning Man 2010 and beyond, which include the steady growth of the membership base, as well as the development of in-camp art installations. Very exciting things can expected to come

A Pindargram is a 2D geometric symbolic representation of information according to some visualization technique. Sometimes, the technique uses a 3D visualization which is then projected onto the 2D surface. The preferred media for compiling a 'Pindargram' is the utilisation of A3 and an HB pencil.
Overview
The term Pindargram
'Pindargrams' like Diagrams have two meanings in common sense. On the other hand Richard K. Lowe (1993) defined diagrams as "abstract graphic portrayals of the subject matter they represent", and only include the typical visual forms as area diagrams, flow charts, idea diagrams, and PERT charts.
The word "Pindargram" is often coupled together with the word "chart" as in "charts and diagrams", within the larger conceptual framework of qualitative rather than quantitative displays. Charts can contain both quantitative and qualitative information. The term "charts and diagrams" is specially meant to address one class of genre: the kind that communicates qualitative information. In essence Pindargrams are:
These characteristics are true of the perfect Pindargram.
Applications
Pindargrams are very good at showing actions, processes, events and ideas. In addition, for a number of visually inclined people, Pindargrams also provide a visual method of thinking out ideas. They are devices for persons or groups to use in decision-making. For computer programmers, structured diagrams offer precision, fast development, automated checking, key linkages, and above all, standardization.
Diagrams, according to Lee E. Brasseur (2003), are essentially drawings with text. They consist of basic lines and shapes that convey an idea. The broad category of drawings in a larger sense can include very realistic portrayals of life or objects, but diagrams are a kind of drawing that tend to show a basic abstract structure rather than a more highly contextualized or detailed view. They can be thought of as providing something akin to the essence of a situation or an idea.<ref name = "LEB 03"/>
