Global Grassroots is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 by Gretchen Steidle Wallace that supports conscious social change for women in post-conflict societies. Through personal transformation work and social entrepreneurship training, Global Grassroots helps marginalized women and genocide survivors reclaim their lives and discover their value to society through the development of their own ideas for social change. Global Grassroots then offers seed funding grants and 12 months of advisory support to launch those projects that advance the well-being and rights of women. Finally, Global Grassroots engages in creative campaigns to raise awareness of critical women’s issues globally.
In 2005, Global Grassroots launched its work in the refugee camps of Eastern Chad among refugees from Darfur, Sudan. In 2006, Global Grassroots expanded its program among widowed genocide survivors and sexual assault victims with HIV in Kigali, Rwanda. Its Stop War Against Women Project is a multi-media research and advocacy project investigating sexual violence during conflict across eleven countries in Africa.
Global Grassroots is the charitable and advocacy arm of the documentary film, The Devil Came on Horseback, a Break Thru Films production in association with Global Grassroots and Three Generations. The Devil Came on Horseback tells the story of an American witness to genocide, former U.S. Marine, Brian Steidle, who served as an African Union military observer in Darfur for six months. Founder, Gretchen Steidle Wallace is a producer of the documentary film, and co-author of Steidle's memoir, also titled The Devil Came on Horseback, published by PublicAffairs.

Question what is a Boofer?????
The Term Boofer in western Pennsylvanian. Is used to describe a person who does something stupid, dresses poorly or a person who maintains a rundown residence. A person who is unkempt.
"I can't go out like this. I look like a Boofer."
"Look at that messy trailer park, what a bunch of boofers."
"That lady over there is letting her baby use a unopened pack of cigarettes as a Binky, dumb boofer."
Their is some argument on the spelling of the word boofer some say bouffer because that's how it's pronounced. Others argue boofer because the term boofers may have been originally used to describe a family with the last name boofer.

Drillinginfo provides land leasing, well production, drilling activity, wellbore configuration, and sales information, along with analytical tools to the US upstream oil and gas industry. Drillinginfo currently has 3000 member companies that subscribe to its services.
Drilling was founded in 1999 by Allen Gilmer and Mark Nibbelink, in Austin, Texas. It acquired PennEnergy Data in 2004, notable in the fact that PennEnergy Data comprised one of only two historical US oil and gas production and wellbore datasets. It was originally acquired by Pennwell Corp. of Tulsa, OK when the Federal Trade Commission ruled that one of the sets must be made available to a qualified third party after an attempt was made to combine the ownership of the datasets in 1998.
Drillinginfo acquired HPDI in 2009, the commercial source of US oil and gas production information to the Energy Information Agency. Drillinginfo is also a source for information on US Unconventional Gas, and has staked a position on its ultimate economic viability.
It created DI International in 2008 to expand coverage of upstream oil and gas activities into the global arena. Drillinginfo is headquartered in Austin, TX, and has operations offices in Stroud, UK; Bucharest, Romania; Singapore; Matamoros, Mexico, and Monterrey, Mexico. It has sales offices in Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; Midland, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; and Denver, CO.

The Shipwrecks are an American band formed in 2000 in Brooklyn, NY. The band started as a vehicle for the poetry of Frank Morris. The project initially began with Chris Smith and Martin Small (both of Smit Haus) on guitar. Jeff Buda was brought in to play drums. Hex Lubinger sat in on a practice session in place of Martin Small and the project clicked. Eventually, Ryan Sackrider replaced Buda on drums and Smith took up the bass, thus setting up the classic lineup of the band.
The band played many New York City area clubs (CBGB OMFUG, The Continental, Acme Underground ) building a loyal following. After building a studio in their Downtown Brooklyn loft, the group started to record demos (many of which have found their way onto the 2008 release 'Inchcape Rock'). Favorites included 'I Want to Join The Irish Mob' and 'Civil War Lover.' Their loud and raucous shows got them banned from such clubs as The Charleston and The Orange Bear.
The sound of the band is found to be a hybrid amongst 70's Punk acts such as The Sex Pistols, Richard Hell and The Ramones mixed with more straight forward rock acts such as The Rolling Stones, AC/DC and Motörhead. Hex Lubinger once described the bands sound as 'something that knocks you over and then starts kicking you in the ribs.'
In 2001, the band decided to take a break. Smith returned to Smit Haus full time. Morris worked with Bad Morris and The Latin Blacks. Lubinger began recording material for a solo project working with Sackrider who handled the production aspects.
In 2003, Smith and Lubinger joined Morris for a St. Patrick's Day show at The Acme Underground sitting in with The Latin Blacks on 'I Want to Join The Irish Mob' and 'Sloop John B.' The Shipwrecks came together for a reunion show in December 2004, also at The Acme Underground.
In 2011, Morris and Smith reformed the band and scheduled East Coast shows.
