Wikiworld is a 2010 non-fiction book about the revolution on how we think of learning in the future. It provides an overview of the recent social and political changes in the spheres of education and learning. The term Wikiworld refers not only to the technological changes in the Internet but also, and especially, to the social practices people are involved, participate and invent in the Internet as part of their everyday living and learning. There is a Wikiversity reading group on the book (from which the book can be downloaded as pdf).
The authors claim that the way students and other people learn is changing as a result of new information and communication technologies, especially wikis. Thus the Wikiworld. Institutionalized learning at different levels of the schooling system and adult training and adult education is transforming into new forms of critical learning and open collaboration. According to the authors the evolving Wikiworld will eventually advance peoples' autonomy, self-government and actual freedom.
Basic Argument
Authors argue that since the Wikiworld belongs to the commons and is a collective process consisting of wiki-based global multi-language learning projects it has a potential to enhance peoples' powers and possibilities to collaborate, participate and act for the common good. "We are moving towards a progressive transformation from the institutionalised and individualised forms of learning to open learning and collaboration". As an empowering social construction it has positive effects for political and epistemological democracy as well as for modes of critical learning and media literacy. As authors have it: "To paraphrase philosopher J. L. Austin (1911-1960), the question on the Wikiworld is not only How To Do Things with Words, but also How To Do Things with Edits, Saves, Uploads, Downloads, Histories, Revisions, and Discussions."
as an Example
Wikiworld consist of free and open source software solutions, various wikis as collaborative softwares, and their collective use. The emphasis behind the idea of the Wikiworld is on the collaborative turn, or what is called participatory culture. It "includes relatively low barriers to civic engagement and activism, artistic and other sorts of expression, easy access for creating and sharing one’s outputs with others, peer-to-peer relations and informal mentorship, as well as new forms of socialisation, social connections, collectivism and solidarity."
is a case in point. In their estimate and its sister projects like Wikiversity "will soon confront national educational systems. Researchers, educators, teachers and other cultural workers are tired of waiting to get on board the Wikiworld through their institutions, and are building their blogs and wikis and forming alliances globally with their peers and like-minded people. They are part of informal networks and ‘invisible colleges’. Some of them have joined digital temporary autonomous zones. New forms of interaction and knowledge production are flourishing outside closed educational systems. Old organisational structures are like dinosaurs preparing for extinction in the new era. And the potential goes beyond the transformation from formal education to public education: there is Wikinews, Wikileaks, Wikibooks, not to mention all the grass-roots wikis of specific communities."

In the Chapter 6 it is argued that the landscape of social media can be classified according to the levels of freedom to participate (see Table 1 Levels of Freedom [http://www.re-public.gr/en/?p=290#more-290]). They suggest the Leninist formula as the next logical step in the development of social media into socialist media. First stage of freedom refers to e.g. YouTube and Google products where a user turns into a produser, and in the second level, e.g. in into a participant. What is needed in going to the level triple-freedom and reaching actual freedom is presented in the following equation: 'electricity + access to the Internet (a wiki flora) + power of of the soviets (control of resources)'. The authors also write for the idea that actual freedom is obtained when basic income is combined with digital resources as the commons. It has been noticed, however, that this 'Leninist formula' is far too straightforward and exaggerated to be operational and even realistic.

Maleko is a radio announcer on Hot 93.9, KIKI-FM- Honolulu, Hawaii. Maleko hosts the Morning Drive show from 5:30am-10am weekdays. Previously, Maleko hosted the Afternoon Drive show "Maleko's Room" on Star 101.9, KUCD-FM from March, 2000 - April 28, 2009. Both stations are owned by Clear Channel Communications.
Biography
Maleko is part of a family legacy of music and entertainment. The younger middle child of four brothers in the music industry (Keoki, Kekoa, Miko), Maleko stands out as the emcee in a family of Disc Jockeys. The family patriarch insisted on both vocal and piano training for each of them while growing up in Kailua, HI. Maleko took eight years of piano lessons, and spent four years performing as a soloist and soprano/alto in the Honolulu Boy Choir. He Lived in Kailua as a teenager while attending St. Louis High School. His oldest brother Keoki moved to New York and made a name for himself, inspiring Maleko to work harder and do the same. Maleko chose to do it a little closer to home.
Maleko began his radio career hosting Afternoon Drive at KDLX, a modern rock alternative station in Maryville, MO in 1994. While there, he crossed the boundaries of cablecast radio by ordering, assembling and powering up a small watt transmitter to rebroadcast the college station's signal. The result was as expected. People enjoyed the station in their cars for the first time ever... for about two weeks, when the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) promptly removed the transmitter equipment from the rented attic space in which it was hidden. Thereafter he explored talk radio, hosting a "Love Lines" like sex-talk radio and television show with the moniker "Victor Simmons." The show was a cult success, and provided a much needed enema in rural Missouri. Earning his way through college, Maleko was a DJ and emcee at various bars and nightclubs, including largest nightclub, America's Pub, entertaining thousands of Westport, Missouri Partiers every weekend.
After college, Maleko moved to Los Angeles to manage the Gila Monster Music Factory, a recording studio in Hollywood, CA owned by Keoki. There, he worked with artists from the rap, rock, and electronic music scene, including Daniel Ash (Bauhaus, Tones on Tail, Love and Rockets), Gearwhore (Astralwerks) and others. After a little more than a year, Maleko decided it was time to return to the islands, when he heard about the birth of a new radio station.
Star 101.9 signed on the air in the late 1990s, and Maleko joined the team as the Promotions Director. For several years, he planned the stations biggest parties, and coolest night club events. A slot opened up doing the night shift on Star. From there, he moved up to Afternoons until he left after 10 years at the station to host the Morning show on HOT 93.9 KIKI-FM.
Hot 93.9 formerly I-94, KIKI-FM plays Hip-Hop and RnB Hits in Honolulu, where Maleko led a team of 3 on the Hot in the Morning Show. Where he was partnered with Flash Hansen Club 301 Podcast and Meeshy Meesh Hot 93.9 Traffic.
In September of 2010, Hot 93.9 signed off the air, to make way for . At that time the station went completely "jockless" and Maleko went back to do Afternoons on the station that still held his heart and passion from the beginning - Star 101.9. Maleko currently hosts the Afternoon Drive weekdays on KUCD-FM, Star 101.9.
Maleko was also the program director for Radio Free Hawaii 101.9-HD2, Hawaii's first Hybrid Digital radio station. Maleko regularly hosts weekly nightclubs, live music events, charity fundraisers, auctions and conventions. He has conducted auctions, pageant contests, game shows, celebrity interviews, and talent competitions. On stage, Maleko is the primary emcee and host for major rock and Hip-Hop concerts in Hawaii, including recent performances by All American Rejects, My Chemical Romance, Evanescence, and Pepper plus Bay fest and Surf fest from 2002 to the present. On screen, Maleko has appeared in television commercials and television dramas and made several guest appearances as a celebrity judge and commentator for local talent programs and television shows.

Literal Trailers

But don't mind him, just keep looking awesome." This happens as the character in the video walks through a crowd while a guard on a rooftop spots him and takes aim. Toby's Literal Trailers often introduce a humorous aspect to serious videos and have developed a cult following. Toby's Literal Trailer videos have attracted many views, including his Literal Trailer for Halo: Reach which has over 722,000 views and was featured by Bungie on their offical website.
