Knifehead
An Knifehead is a type of Kaiju which appears in the upcoming film, Pacific Rim, and the Pacific Rim video game. It is the very first type of Kaiju to appear and is seen attacking San Francisco.
Pacific Rim
The very first Kaiju to make itself known to humanity, Knifehead arrived in San Francisco and attacked the city on what would be known as K-Day. Its approach to the city was marked with a 7.1 earthquake, and shortly after, it rose near the Golden Gate Bridge. Completely destroying the bridge and all on it, it proceeds to cut a three mile wide path of destruction through San Francisco before the US military is able to take it down with a nuclear weapon.
The Golden Gate Bridge after Knifehead is done with it.
Added by DarklarikSometime in the future, it's skull was placed on display.
Contrary to popular belief, the San Francisco Knifehead is NOT Tresspasser.
Biology
The Knifehead is possibly one of the largest types of Kaiju to appear, as it has been estimated to be about 300 feet tall as noted by a news reporter, although most other Kaiju are about this height. It has a large Knife-like crest on it's head, which gives the creature it's name. It has four huge legs and a massive tail, and has orange breath, which resembles sparks and smoke.

Jahshaka (formerly known as CineFX) aims to become a cross-platform, open source, free, video editing software, effects, and compositing suite. It is currently in alpha stage, supporting realtime effects rendering, but lacking useful implementations of many features such as the non-linear editing system. It is written using Qt, but its user interface is written using an OpenGL library to create GUIs.
Since it uses OpenGL and OpenML, it could be ported to many different platforms that have the necessary computing power.
Jahshaka is released under the GNU General Public License.
The project has come under criticism as the latest update, being in October 2006, has been abandoned by developers due to inefficient code and excessive glitches. After the version 2 abandonment, developers have been promising a newly coded, reliable version 3. The developers had been updating OpenLibraries, pushing the development of version 3 further in an unannounced time table.
