Zvika Krieger

Zvika Krieger is an American journalist specializing in covering the Middle East.
Krieger grew up in Los Angeles where he attended Shalhevet High School , he is a 2006 graduate of Yale University.

At Yale, Krieger acquired fluency in Arabic and was co-founder of the Yale Israel Journal , an undergraduate academic journal.
Upon graduation, Krieger received an EMANUEL R. FREEDMAN SCHOLARSHIP, Overseas Press Club Student Journalism Award and was one of nine winners of the Scripps Howard Roy W. Howard National Collegiate Reporting Competition. The awards enabled him to travel to the Middle East where he worked for two years as a correspondent for Newsweek living in Cairo and writing for Slate, the Daily Star (Lebanon) and the Chronicle of Higher Education in addition to Newsweek. In 2008 Krieger became deputy web editor at the New Republic.
