Andrew M. Seaman

Andrew M. Seaman a.k.a. Andrew Seaman (born February 6, 1988) is an American journalist for Thomson Reuters and is a recent graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
Andrew graduated in May 2011 from Columbia, where he was also a Stabile Scholar for investigative journalism, with his master's in journalism. The school named Andrew "Student of the Year" before graduation. He then went on to complete the Kaiser Family Foundation's Media Fellowship at Thomson Reuters's Washington bureau, where he covered health policy and the White House.
In the past, Andrew interned with the Washington Bureau and national desk of USA Today, and the national desk of The Washington Times. He is also a 2007 graduate of the Institute on Political Journalism, a division of the Fund for American Studies.
In 2009, Andrew was elected to a one-year term on the national board of directors of the Society of Professional Journalists, the nation's largest broad-based journalism organization.
Andrew is the recipient of numerous journalism awards: the Society of Professional Journalists Robert D.G. Lewis First Amendment Award in 2009, the Society for Collegiate Journalists Arthur H. Barlow National Student Journalist of the Year Award in 2009, and other awards from the Associated Collegiate Press and the Society for Collegiate Journalists.
Andrew is 2010 graduate of Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and Forest City Regional High School in Forest City, Pennsylvania.
