Zincubate

Zincubate - or Zincubate.com - is a free online resource for small business owners with a need to learn about technology launched in July 2012. Zincubate publishes articles, reviews, and posts through guest authors who are experts in their respective fields.
History
Before Zincubate was created, there was Promana.net. Promana.net began as a blog dedicated to tips for using Basecamp - an online collaborative tool made by 37signals. After gaining an enormous following, Promana.net turned into a complete website. Promana.net mainly focused on project management and technology practices. This then turned into Zincubate, which covers a broader range of topics for technology and business.
Software & Tool Reviews
Zincubate.com offers reviews for online tools and software to present options to small businesses. The products and services mentioned are used by the authors of Zincubate: "...any tool/software/web app that we use or suggest is something that WE have actually used and it’s something that WE actually like. Zincubate is not an arena for new products and services to battle it out for sales - we want to give you information and tools that can help your company grow."
Authors
Zincubate commissions authors that are experts in their industries/fields. While Zincubate has a group of regular contributors, it also has an option for guest writers. In order for someone to become a guest writer/contributor, they must submit a writing sample and be approved by the site owners: "We want to offer only the best, most relevant, and useful content to our readers and by recruiting only the experts to contribute to the site."
Affiliate Marketing
While Zincubate is free for readers and users, it makes its profit through the use of affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is essentially referral marketing. If a user visits Zincubate.com and purchases a product/service through a link provided, Zincubate receives a credit/commission. Zincubate makes this fully visible on its website as to provide full disclosure to users. Reviews, however, are not based on compensation.
