Zesty UK, also known as Zesty, is a healthcare startup based in London, with the focus of providing location based search and online booking for dentists, private GPs, physiotherapists and other healthcare appointments. This allows for bookings to be made 24 hours a day on a desktop, tablet or smartphone. History Zesty launched in May 2013, backed by Mangrove Capital Partners, one of the first investors in Skype, Rdio and Seatwave. Usage To make an appointment on the website, users enter their desired location in the form of a postcode, borough or London area. They are then able to select a desired treatment from a drop down menu. After clicking the search button, a list of practices is shown with vacancies. To make a booking, users click the vacancy they want, and register an account with Zesty which can be used for future bookings. Press On the 14th of August 2013, Zesty was featured in an Economist article that talked about the future of healthcare appointments in the UK. In it, Lloyd Price discusses how medicine in the UK is poised to be the next sector to take advantage of eCommerce. He wants people in London, and eventually in the whole of the United Kingdom, to be able to book healthcare appointments the way they book hotels with companies like TripAdvisor and Expedia.
