Zech Zinicola

Zechry John Zinicola (born March 2, 1985) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent.
Career
Zinicola attended Arlington High School in Riverside, California. The Atlanta Braves drafted Zinicola out of high school in the 43rd round of the 2003 Major League Baseball Draft, but Zinicola did not sign with the Braves.
The Washington Nationals selected Zinicola in the sixth round, with the 181st overall selection, of the 2006 Major League Baseball Draft. He signed with the Nationals, receiving a $147,500 signing bonus. In his debut season, Zinicola was named the Nationals' minor league pitcher of the year. Zinicola was then assigned to the Syracuse Chiefs. Zincola received a 50-game suspension at the start of the 2012 season for the second violation of the Minor League drug policy. He reportedly tested positive for a "drug of abuse", which Zinicola identified as synthetic marijuana.
Zinicola signed with the Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball on March 23, 2016. He re-signed for the 2017 season. He became a free agent after the 2017 season.
On June 11, 2018, Zinicola signed with the Road Warriors of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. He was released on July 20, 2018.
On August 10, 2018, Zinicola signed with the Somerset Patriots of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. He re-signed with the Patriots for the 2019 season. He became a free agent following the season.
