Zach Everson (born April 22, 1976 in Boston, MA) is a writer residing in the Washington, DC area. Everson is the travel news/travel buzz editor for MapQuest. Previously, he was a freelance travel writer, the founding editor of Eater Louisville, and the editor of Louisville.com. In 2013 Everson and Eater Louisville won the award for best non-affiliated blog and placed second for best non-affiliated website, from the Louisville Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, while he and Louisville.com won best non-affiliated website . In Louisville, he appeared Friday mornings on WXMA's Lambert & Lindsey morning show and Wednesdays on WFPL's "Here & Now." As a freelancer, Everson contributed to several publications including: * The Wall Street Journal * Air Canada's EnRoute * Condé Nast Traveller * BlackBook * Curbed * Gawker Media’s Gridskipper * Deadspin * Fox News He's also been quoted about travel by USA Today, NBC News, and was on the cover of the April 2012 issue of Toastmasters Magazine.
