History
Salisbury Middle School was opened in 1954 as an all-black high school. It remained that way until 1964, when it was closed as part of Wicomico County's desegregation efforts. The building was then turned into the Wicomico County Vocational/Technical Center. The students were moved to either Wicomico High School or James M. Bennett High School. In 1999, the building was renovated and expanded to become Salisbury Middle School.
