George Street Middle School

George Street Middle School is a public school located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Built in 1924 at the corner of George Street and Regent Street, the building was the home of Fredericton High School from 1925 until 1972. Following the transition of high school students to the new high school location on Prospect Street, the George Street location was renamed "George Street Junior High School" and housed class levels from grade 7 through to grade 9. Following the completion of a second high school on the north side of the city in 1999, the George Street location became "George Street Middle School" and the class level changed to grade 6 to grade 8 learning levels. Their school colours are purple and gold, their team mascot is Georgie Bear, and they do many fundraiser that help the community. Such as, Twitti school fundraser, bake sale, salvation army, food bank, etc. They also have many teams of helpers. Peer helper, beyond the hurt, and friendship circles. Pierre Plourde is currently the principal.
It is part of New Brunswick School District 18.
