Yuwei Shi

Yuwei Shi is a professor of Strategic Management and the Director of the Center for Social Impact Learning at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
Biography
Dr. Shi is a specialist in competitive strategy, early-stage venture business modeling, evaluation, and impact investing. He is the founding director of the award-winning Frontier Market Scouts Fellowship Program at the Institute. The Frontier Market Scouts program selects and trains professionals who seek a career in impact investing and social enterprise management.
Dr. Shi has over fifteen years of experience building programs and companies in various capacities as advising partner at Indacin, consultant to Bain & Co and Accenture, board director of Scholarly Exchange, and director of the executive program at Nanyang Business School. Dr. Shi is also one of the founders of the Center for Social Impact Learning at the Institute. The center trains aspiring social entrepreneurs in the fields of social impact of business and financial investment.
Education
Dr. Shi earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University; Master of Comparative Law from the Dedmen School of Law at Southern Methodist University; and PhD in International Management from the University of Texas at Dallas.
