Seshan Rammohan

Seshan Rammohanhas been on a sabbatical from June 30 until now and is looking forward to his next adventure. He was the Executive Director of the India Community Center in Milpitas, California until June 30, 2010, USA and prior to that he was the Executive Director of the Silicon Valley Chapter of TiE.
Career
Seshan Rammohan was appointed the Executive Director of the India Community Center (ICC) in February 2009. ICC is located in Milpitas, California.The India Community Center serves the Indian community in the San Francisco Bay area and is the largest Indian-American community center in North America. Its main center is located in Milpitas, and it has a smaller center in Cupertino. The Center's over 120 community programs include Bollywood Dance, Hindi and other language classes, free career, medical and legal clinics, senior programs, a full-scale fitness center and more. ICC works to promote Indian culture.
Additionally, Rammohan serves on the executive committee of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Alumni Association (IITMAANA). IIT is one of India's leading technology colleges. TiE, an acronym for "talent, ideas and enterprise," is a not-for-profit global network of entrepreneurs and professionals. Founded in the Silicon Valley, California, USA the organization has South Asian roots but is open and inclusive, respecting ethnic, political and religious diversity.
Since it was founded in 1992, TiE has expanded to more than 56 chapters in 14 countries. The purpose of the network is to "cultivate and nurture the ecosystem of entrepreneurship and free-market economies."
Seshan has over 25 years of executive experience, including in the areas of strategic planning, financing business expansion, and project development. During these 25 years he achieved a track record of strong fiscal management, revenue growth and innovative leadership in industries including IT services, medical devices, electronic global distribution, manufacturing and retailing of highly engineered products and more. He has worked with companies in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and India.<ref name="India Community Center, Board of Directors"/>
Early life
Rammohan earned a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1970. He earned a Bachelor of Technology degree in mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, in 1968.<ref name="India Community Center, Board of Directors"/>
