Yummy Media, Inc. has developed proprietary, patent pending technology to render windowless, 3D interactive animations on the desktop. The company was formed in 2005 by ex-interactive game employees whose goal was to figure out a way to place a browserless, interactive, 3D character on the computer desktop. The company has begun using their technology to develop interactive Desktop Toys for consumers and 3D desktop advertoys and advergames for clients. Their first release was the IROD Desktop Toy in November 2005
Project Y is the company's Windows-based 3D desktop platform for browserless 3D animations using both DirectX and GDI technologies.
