YRT2 Arena (also known as Coastal Arena or Coastal Sports and Entertainment Arena) will be a 7,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Conway, South Carolina. The arena, projected to open in late 2008 or early 2009, will be located on the campus of Coastal Carolina University. The arena will be the home of the Coastal Carolina University men's and women's basketball teams and replaces Kimbel Arena. It will also serve as the home of the Myrtle Beach Thunderboltz (formerly the Pee Dee Pride), which will compete in the ECHL. The former Pee Dee Pride minor-league hockey organization, announced in 2005 that it would suspend operations and move the team from Florence, South Carolina to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where it would resume play once the arena has been completed.
In 2006, both Pepsi and Costco have signed on as sponsors of the arena. On September 26, 2006, Your Residential Technology Team, YRT2, purchased the naming rights to the venue for $3.5 million over 10 years.
As of October 2007 the arena has officially been canceled.
