The Youth Evangelism Conference 2002 is mostly referred to in connection with a 58 minute sermon by Paul Washer at this conference. The Youth Evangelism Conference 2002 took place in Montgomery, Alabama with about 5,000 youth partaking in it and focusing on evangelism. Paul Washer was invited to speak, and he did, but not in the way that was expected. Furthermore, the sermon was not actually about evangelism, but about examining ourselves to see if we are in the light. In the beginning, the audience of about 5,000 youth erupted into applause when he talked about being tired of worldy Christians. He shocked them all into silence when told the youth he was talking about them. Brother Paul was not invited back to speak at the conference again. The Video is widely linked to over the internet in addition to the material given on Paul Washer's homepage. It was also part of a show on on where Paul Washer was then interviewed about . The video and the transcript are the clearest sources when it comes to a definition of Paul Washers teaching. Even though there are a few other videos and sermons available on the internet this Conference is a crucial part.
