Random Things was first thought of when Random Things star and executive producer Kevin Black was sitting at home in his room with his former co-star Dillon Elza when he just started thinking of funny random things and made a video(that was never posted to YouTube) and showed his friend the video and Kevin thought it would be a funny show and Dillon thought why not make it a YouTube show and Kevin agreed but Kevin wanted a full cast with him and Dillon and another person and two recurring roles but instead he shrunk it down to just the three people so he held auditions and said that him and Dillon would audition in front of his brother's girlfriend(Ysenia Guardia) with a third person(John Marcias) but Ysenia Guardia) said just make it with Kevin and Dillon no third person and thus became the the show Random Stuff(later renamed Random Things) and the cast.Theme song http://www.youtube.com/watch?vf9XhsZiZajY&featureplcp
Random Things first was heard when Kevin black announced on his Facebook(Link shown at the bottom of the page) and Twitter(Link shown at the bottom of the page) that he made a YouTube show called Random Stuff(Later Changed to Random Things).Dillon saw the post and announced/rumored on Facebook that it's based on Disney Channel's So Random but Kevin denied the announcement/rumor.Random Things original casting agent Ysenia Guardia originally casted Dillon Elza to be Kevin's co-star and filmed the pilot episode with him and showed the original pilot episode, that will never go on YouTube to his friends,his brother,Ysenia,and just anybody he can find to see the episode to make sure it would be a good show and 19/21 people liked it and said it was funny.So they started filming the first two episode's (first filmed do to problems of Dillon not showing up during the filming of the Intro Episode: Ep. 0) the Preview Episode(Ep. 1) and Intro Episode(Ep. 0) but due to Dillon's lack of showing up during filming he was fired after making the intro episode(Ep. 0) and was replaced by runner up John Marcias but due to his departure from the show before filming anything, Kevin casted friend who didn't audition Jordan McComb.
Random Things is an internet video series involing a dumb kid who thinks his mom is the smartest person in the world , which she's not and is paranoid for no reason,so he thinks not everybody on the planet is human and his friend since he known since 3rd grade which is a kinda smart girl who thinks everybody is dumb and everybody likes her(but nobody really does that much).Random things is also funny out of the ordinary random stuff and funny everyday life things.Here's the link the the Announcement of the show http://www.youtube.com/watch?vBeUDKlZ-8Us&featureplcp the Announcement was made by the star's of the show.As you read in the first paragragh the show was created by Kevin Black
